Leadership Appointment | GreatCXO

Dharmendra R S has been appointed as Chief Operating Officer (COO) at Icon Hotels by Bhagini Hospitality Pvt Ltd, marking a strategic leadership move as the organization strengthens its operational excellence and growth journey.

In this role, Dharmendra will lead end-to-end operations, business expansion, service excellence, and performance optimization, driving scalability and enhancing customer experience across the group’s hospitality portfolio.

Dharmendra brings extensive experience across hospitality, food & beverage, entertainment, and multi-location operations management. He is currently serving as Senior Vice President – Hospitality, Health & Tourism at Sona Valliappa group - Sona Star Private Limited, where he contributes to strategic growth and diversification initiatives.

Prior to this, he was associated with Gillys Chain of Restobars, where he served as Chief Operating Officer (COO) and earlier as General Manager – Sales & Operations, leading multi-outlet operations, pre-opening initiatives, marketing, and revenue growth strategies.

He also held leadership roles at GAG Associates, driving operations and sales for hospitality ventures, and spent over 17 years with HM Group (Amoeba, entertainment & hospitality businesses), where he managed Bangalore operations, P&L, expansion, merchandising, and multi-brand business operations across entertainment, gaming, retail, and F&B.

With a proven track record in operations leadership, business expansion, and customer experience excellence, Dharmendra is well-positioned to drive Icon Hotels India’s next phase of growth.
