Abhijit Zutshi has been appointed as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Syngene International Limited, marking a strategic leadership move as the organization continues to strengthen its global commercial and growth strategy.

In this role, Abhijit will lead commercial operations, client engagement, and strategic business growth initiatives, focusing on expanding market presence, strengthening customer partnerships, and accelerating Syngene’s global growth agenda.

Abhijit brings extensive global leadership experience across commercial strategy, generics, life sciences, and pharmaceutical business operations. Prior to joining Syngene International, he spent over a decade with Biocon Group, where he held several senior leadership positions across global commercial and business operations.

Most recently, he served as Chief Commercial Officer (CCO) at Biocon, leading all commercial aspects of the company’s global generics business. Earlier, he served as Global Commercial Head – Generic Formulations, driving commercial growth and strategic expansion across international markets.

He also held leadership roles at Biocon Pharma Inc. as Vice President, where he led North American business operations, and at Biocon Limited as Associate Vice President and General Manager, overseeing P&L, licensing, and strategic business development across the US, Canada, and Mexico.
Earlier in his career, he served as Head – North American Operations & Senior Director – Business Development, managing the NAFTA region’s business growth, licensing, and commercial strategy.

With a strong track record in global commercial leadership, business development, and pharmaceutical growth strategy, Abhijit is well-positioned to drive Syngene International’s next phase of global expansion and customer-centric growth.
