Achal Kataria has been appointed as Managing Director & CEO at Avanade India.

Achal brings 30+ years of experience across technology leadership, IT infrastructure, digital transformation, global operations, P&L management, and business growth.

Prior to joining Avanade, he served as Vice President & Country Head – India and Executive Leadership Team member at Cognizant, where he spearheaded profitable growth, P&L management, sales strategy, large-deal initiatives across APJ, and partnerships with hyperscalers.

Earlier, Achal spent 10+ years at EXL, serving as Vice President & Global Head of Technology/CIO and Vice President – Head Global Technology Operations. He also held senior technology leadership roles at Tech Mahindra, Genpact, Hughes Software Systems, and Escorts.

His career spans technology infrastructure, data centers, network and security operations, IT transformation, customer relationships, technology solutions, and enterprise-scale operations.
