Prafful Goel appointed as Chief Information Security Officer at Indifi Capital

Prafful Goel has been appointed as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at Indifi Capital, taking on a strategic leadership role focused on strengthening information security, cybersecurity governance, technology risk, and enterprise resilience.

Prafful brings 20+ years of experience across information security, GRC, technology risk, cybersecurity, audit, digital transformation, and financial services. Most recently, he served as Head – Infosec GRC and Head – Risk Compliance at Hero FinCorp, where he worked on enterprise-wide cyber risk governance, regulatory compliance, resilience planning, and security architecture.

Earlier, Prafful spent over two years with Airtel Payments Bank as AVP and Assistant Vice President – Information Technology, leading risk-based IT audit programs covering data privacy, cybersecurity, information security, and regulatory compliance, including engagements with regulators and external auditors.

Prior to this, he spent around four years with Paytm Payments Bank, serving as Head – IT/IS Audits, Head of Information Technology, and Enterprise Risk Management & Outsourcing leader, with responsibilities spanning IT/IS audit, operational risk, technology and information security, vendor risk, and regulatory compliance.

His earlier career includes Principal Consultant at PwC India, technology and information security advisory roles with MeitY’s National eGovernance Division, program and risk management leadership at HCLTech Technologies, and IT and information security audit experience at Tata Consultancy Services supporting global banks and enterprises.
