Akshat Shahi has been elevated as Director – Internal Audit at Nokia, marking a significant milestone in his leadership journey.

In this expanded role, Akshat will lead internal audit, enterprise risk management, governance, and compliance initiatives, strengthening Nokia’s global control environment and driving audit innovation.

Akshat has been associated with Nokia for over 11 years, progressing through multiple leadership roles including Senior Internal Auditor, Lead Auditor, Internal Audit Manager, and Senior Manager – Internal Audit, before his elevation to Director.

He has been instrumental in leading internal audit for Nokia’s India region and global business groups, with responsibilities spanning team leadership, enterprise risk assessment, stakeholder engagement, and audit strategy.

He has also driven AI-enabled auditing, digitization of audit processes, and development of new audit frameworks to address emerging digital risks.

Prior to Nokia, he worked with Samsung Electronics in the Forensic Audit Group, and held consulting roles at PwC and Protiviti, building strong expertise in internal audit, fraud risk management, and process optimization.

🎓 Akshat is a Chartered Accountant (ACA) from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India, with deep knowledge in accounting, audit, corporate finance, and financial risk management.

With a proven track record in audit leadership, risk management, and digital transformation, Akshat is well-positioned to drive Nokia’s next phase of governance and audit excellence.
