Vishal Sharma has been appointed as Chairperson of ASTEC LIFESCIENCES LIMITED, in addition to his current role as CEO of Godrej Industries Limited (Chemicals).

This appointment reflects a strategic move to strengthen leadership alignment and accelerate growth across the group’s chemicals and life sciences portfolio.

In this expanded role, Vishal will provide strategic oversight, governance, and leadership direction, driving business growth, innovation, and operational excellence at Astec Lifesciences.

Vishal brings extensive global leadership experience across the chemicals, water, hygiene, and industrial sectors. He currently serves as Executive Director and CEO at Godrej Industries (Chemicals), where he has been instrumental in driving business transformation, growth strategy, and global competitiveness.

Prior to this, he spent over 9 years at Ecolab, holding multiple senior leadership roles including Senior Vice President – India, Middle East & Africa, and SVP & General Manager – Asia Pacific, leading regional business performance, operations, and growth across global markets.

Earlier, he had a long tenure of over 12 years at Diversey, where he served as Global Vice President and Managing Director – India & South East Asia, driving business expansion and market leadership across regions.

He began his career with organizations such as GE Lighting and Mecklai Commercial & Financial Services, building strong foundations in sales, marketing, and business development.

With a proven track record in global business leadership, transformation, and scaling operations, Vishal is well-positioned to drive the next phase of growth and innovation at Astec Lifesciences.
