Leadership Appointment | GreatCXO

Navin Chettiar has been appointed as Head – IT & Digital at Birla White, marking a significant leadership milestone in his accomplished career spanning digital transformation, enterprise technology, manufacturing IT, and business innovation.

In this strategic leadership role, Navin will spearhead Birla White's IT and digital transformation agenda, driving enterprise technology modernization, digital innovation, cloud adoption, cybersecurity, manufacturing digitization, and operational excellence to support the company's next phase of growth.

Navin brings over 17 years of experience across enterprise IT, digital transformation, manufacturing technology, ERP, cloud, infrastructure, and business applications.

Prior to joining Birla White, he served as Assistant General Manager & Head – Information Technology at Exide Energy Solutions Ltd., where he built the IT organization from the ground up for India's greenfield lithium-ion battery manufacturing business. He established enterprise-wide digital capabilities across SAP, manufacturing systems, supply chain, finance, HR, quality, and project management while leading technology readiness, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and digital transformation initiatives. He also successfully scaled the IT function to support six locations, managed technology investments exceeding ₹50 crore, and delivered multiple enterprise-wide digital programs.

Earlier, Navin was Digital Transformation Lead at Tata Consumer Products, where he spearheaded supply chain digital initiatives, including SAP warehouse management, production planning, SAP HANA implementation, transportation management, analytics dashboards, and e-invoicing programs.

Before that, he held technology leadership roles as Delivery Manager at JSW and IT Delivery Lead at PPG Asian Paints, successfully delivering greenfield manufacturing IT projects, SAP integrations, infrastructure modernization, and enterprise digital transformation initiatives.

Academically, Navin completed the Business Management Program from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore (IIM Bangalore) and holds a Master of Computer Applications (MCA) from SIES College of Management Studies.

With proven expertise in enterprise IT, manufacturing digitalization, SAP transformation, cloud technologies, and business-led technology innovation, Navin is exceptionally well-positioned to lead Birla White's digital transformation journey and strengthen its technology-driven growth.
