Balaji Kidambi mani has been appointed as Whole-Time Director & Chief Financial Officer (CFO) at Ashok Leyland, marking a significant leadership milestone following an illustrious journey of more than 32 years with one of India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers.

In this role, Balaji will continue to lead the company’s financial strategy, capital allocation, investor relations, treasury management, governance, risk oversight, and value creation initiatives, while also contributing to the Board’s strategic direction as Whole-Time Director.

Balaji's association with Ashok Leyland spans over three decades, during which he has held multiple leadership positions including Chief Financial Officer, Deputy CFO, Senior Vice President – Finance, Vice President – Finance, General Manager – Finance, and Deputy General Manager – Finance.
Throughout his distinguished career, he has played a pivotal role in managing budgets, treasury operations, investor relations, mergers & acquisitions, indirect taxation, exports finance, product development finance, institutional finance, and strategic business support functions. He has also successfully led treasury operations covering forex management, banking relationships, and sales finance initiatives.

Earlier in his journey, Balaji managed audit functions across manufacturing plants and regional offices, building deep expertise in financial controls, compliance, cost engineering, MIS, and operational finance. His extensive experience and institutional knowledge have significantly contributed to Ashok Leyland’s financial discipline, growth strategy, and operational excellence.

With a proven track record in financial leadership, strategic planning, and business transformation, Balaji is exceptionally well-positioned to support Ashok Leyland’s next phase of growth, innovation, and value creation.
